Mechanical Engineer & Problem Solver
As a contractor of many years, I’ve worked on a variety of projects ranging from rack & panel, electrical & electronic packaging, sheet metal structures, component chassis, brackets, supports, instrument panels, wiring & cabling, and printed circuit board design. These experiences necessitated the designing of tools and fixtures, mechanisms, machinery design, stampings, forgings, sand casting, investment casting, die casting, injection molding, compression molding, and stereolithography. This varied background is my greatest asset.
I am very creative in providing solutions for the requirements of any project thrown my way. I always bring new ideas and creativity to any task. If I have a fault, I’d say it’s trying to make things better.
Most of the organizations I’ve worked for have been small. This means that I’ve had to wear many hats, ranging from conceptual designs and cost/benefit analysis to component & material selection and model making. Along with this came the documentation of detailed assembly drawings, bill of materials, checking, GD&T, and tolerance studies.
Throughout my career, I have learned various CAD software packages including AutoCad, CadKey, Cadam, Personal Designer, Pro-Engineer, and Solidworks. The primary CAD package that I’m most proficient with is Pro-E Creo and Windchill. I am also proficient with Windows Office Suite.

Career Achievements: Team member for the introduction of the M4 Carbine to our armed forces in 1995, also for the improved M4A1 Carbine several years later. I’ve also been included on several firearms patents for the M16 and M4 family of weapons.
